4th Annual Craft Fair Trade Bazaar – call to artists

Simpson University - 4th Annual Craft Fair Trade Bazaar -
Call to Artists

Simpson University is pleased to invite you to the 4th Annual Craft & Fair Trade Bazaar. In past years, this event has been well received by community members and participation continues to grow. Simpson’s Craft and Fair Trade Bazaar has been instrumental in highlighting fair trade and local artisans. In 2009, we had more than 30 vendors, 5 fair trade partnerships and hundreds of attendees.

The purpose of the 2010 Craft & Fair Trade Bazaar is threefold:

To provide an outlet for area artisans and crafters to connect with the Simpson community and sell their wares.

To raise awareness about fair trade and make items readily available for purchase.

To raise funds to support the Simpson Student Missions program and the Student Scholarship Fund.

2010 Craft & Fair Trade Bazaar Information:

Date: Saturday, November 6, 2010

Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Setup begins at 7:30 a.m. and teardown must be completed by 4:30 p.m.

Booth fees are $35 for one table, $50 for two tables or $75 for a 10x10 space.

All proceeds from booth registration fees will be used to support the Simpson Student Missions program and the Student Scholarship Fund. Vendors will also have an opportunity to donate a percentage of their earnings for the day to Student Missions or the Scholarship Fund, though it is not required. Simpson Students and Employees receive a $15 discount off booth fees.

We will be advertising the event widely to the Simpson community in addition to area churches, craft stores and the local media.

If you are interested in participating in this Craft and Fair Trade Bazaar, please fill out the enclosed registration form and return it by Friday, October 15, 2010.

We look forward to partnering with you on this event. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via e-mail at wmatthews@simpsonu.edu or by phone at (530) 226-4126.
