SCHEDULED PRESENTERS:
Marla Frost O’Brien
Marla has been directing in the Chico/ Paradise area for over twenty-three years. She is on the Board of Directors at Theatre On the Ridge in Paradise and a resident Director. She has enjoyed working with and learning from profes-sional directors from Ashland, San Diego, San Francisco and New York.
Mat McDonald
A native of Dunsmuir, Mat attended Cal State University Northridge, grad-uating with honors and starting his post-graduate work there in 1994.
Theatrical experience includes being in "On the Spot" the in-house improv troupe at the Comedy Store in Hollywood („94&‟96), produc-ing a comedy/talk show, in LA, with a writing partner writing "Camp Out" which ran for fif-teen weeks and earned Mat GLAAD Award nominations for writing, directing, and pro-ducing.
Cleo Gambetta
Beyond her 17 years teaching English and Drama at Red Bluff High, Cleo is the founder of the Tehama County Actors Guild (disbanded) and has studied at the
Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Of the 60 plays she has directed at least 20 of them were penned by The Bard. Her arrangements of his work have highlighted The War of the Roses, Shakespeare and the Supernatural, and Com-ic Moments of Shakespeare. Despite retire-ment, Cleo continues to work with student actors. She is currently directing Romeo and Juliet
Riverfront Playhouse is pleased to offer to both beginning as well as experienced stage directors an opportunity to build skills and enhance their directing knowledge.
