Celebrating the Feminine: Drumming and Yoga Retreat

As women in this busy world, many of us wear a multitude of hats; mother, wife, care-giver, teacher, and more—sometimes all at once.  Often we take care of everyone else and rarely take a moment for ourselves. Through music and a deeply relaxing yoga practice,  we will renew the unique rhythm of our hearts and rejuvenate our bodies to prepare for life’s challenges.  No music or yoga experience necessary.  Drums and yoga props will be provided.

Drums provided.

2:00-4:00: RELAXATION: Let the stress and tension of everyday life melt away in a supported restorative yoga sequence led by Julie May.  Restorative Yoga is a gentle healing form of Hatha yoga that is practiced with props to facilitate a very deep experience of rest and relaxation. Julie will guide you through a series of slow, long held, deeply comforting postures suitable for all levels.  This practice will nourish your mind, body, and spirit.  You may want to bring your own scarf or eye pillow.
It is our intention that the day will leave you feeling calm, de-stressed and open to a space of self-healing and inquiry.
