Sue Bennett’s workshop next weekend

Hello Young Budding Artist,

I have one spot left for Sue Bennett's oil painting workshop. Any of you who would like to try oils and have no supplies, hey, I have them. I have attached a photo of one of the paintings we will be doing...the second day is a surprise, can't wait to see what Sue has come up with.

Class cost: $170

April ,27 & 28, Saturday and Sunday

12 X 16 CANVAS: I use oil primed linen canvas or prime your own linen canvas with 3 coats of gesso. I have ordered oil primed lined canvas board...they will be $10 a piece. So if you don't have any, I do.
BRUSHES: Filberts size 4 6, 8,10 and 12.  I like Robert Simmons Bristle brushes. A hog bristle brush is much more trustworthy than the synthetics. And not expensive; they'll hold up well a long time. Other favorites may be useful: like a liner.
PALETTE KNIFE: Mixing knife, regular knife and I use a larger ovalish one (those of you who were in the last class will remember what fun we had with that big one. If you don't have any, I have a few you can use or you can order them...Che son 848 and a #60 Blick palette knife.
Oil paint: I MAINLY use Napthal red, Ultramarine blue, Cadmium Yellow Light and Titanium/Zinc White Mix, Often Add: Cerulean Blue  and Sometimes Add:  Alizarin Crimson, Yellow Ochre and Raw Umber And certainly you may have other favorites. If you want to try oils and have not purchased any, I will share with you.
Thinners/Mediums: Oderless Turpenoid (or whatever you use) Liquin.

Palette: Whatever you have. If you don't have a favorite, I like a 12 x 16 piece of thick glass with the
edges sanded. or you can use waxed freezer paper and bring a board 12x 16, we can tape the paper on.

Other Stuff: Soft paper towels (VIVA small sheets), sketchbook, 1 or 2 small (olive) cans for medium & thinner.

OK people I think we have it....I am looking forward to Sue coming...Love her classes.

Please call if you have any questions.
