Workshop description:

This workshop is for artists working in any medium. Stephen will take the class through the process he uses for completing his paintings from the initial inspiration for a painting through completion, stressing the essential fundamentals of composition, perspective, editing and simplifying, use of color, and refining the painting when completed.  He will be a demonstration the first morning in either oil or pastel. After that, he will be available for questions and give individual attention to workshop participants. Students are asked to bring several reference photographs to class. At the end of each day there will be a critique of the day’s work. Students are also encouraged to bring previously completed paintings for a critique, if desired.
